Base stats

Base stats are principal determinants in governing the strength of a Pokémon's stats. As the most influential Pokémon-stat constituent, they are synthesized with the Pokémon's Individual Values, Effort Values, and Natures to determine the upgrowth of its stats; however, dissimilar to those Pokémon individualities, base stats are species-respectively immutable, with every Pokémon of a species inherently having the same base stats as their kin.
Definitional overview
Base stats are the most influential potentiator of your Pokémon's summative stats. As the primary touchstone of a Pokémon's statistical strengths, they are considered the fulcrum for the archetype it develops to in-battle; for example, due to Pikachu and Raichu's tremendous Speed and Special Attack base stats, they are typically used as glass cannons in-battle and thus trainers oftentimes focus on consolidating those stats, furtherly, with the Pokémon's IVs, EVs, and Nature orientations.
A Pokémon's summative stats for each stat will be precisely 5 more than double its base-stat value; for example, if EVs, IVs, and Natures were sheerly negated from a Pokémon's stats calculation, an Attack stat with a base-stat value of 50 would extrapolate to 105 statistically points. HP is the only anomaly, as it has a 110-point additive as opposed to the 5-point one for the rest of the stats.
Each base-stat value hexadecimally varies from 1 to 255, and most base-stat totals do not exceed 600; the only exceptions are predominantly Legendary Pokémon.
