Hail is an Ice type Status move.
Functionality
Hail creates a hailstorm that lasts for 5 turns and induces these additional effects:
- All Pokémon lose 1⁄16 of their max HP at the end of each turn, except Ice types and those with the abilities Ice Body, Magic Guard, Overcoat or Snow Cloak.
- The move Blizzard ignores accuracy.
- The move Aurora Veil may be used.
- The power of Solar Beam and Solar Blade decreases by 50%.
- The moves Synthesis, Morning Sun and Moonlight recover 1⁄4 of the user's max HP (instead of the usual 1⁄2 HP).
- The move Weather Ball changes to Ice type and doubles in power.
- Pokémon with the ability Ice Body recover 1⁄16 of their max HP each turn.
- Pokémon with the ability Slush Rush double their speed.
- Pokémon with the ability Snow Cloak increase their evasion by 20%.
- Castform changes to Snowy Form.(Not coded in PRO)
Z-Hail: Raises the user's Speed by 1 stage, then uses Hail.
