Move Relearners will teach any move within the Pokémon's level-up move pool that the Pokémon has satisfied the level requirement for. Pre-evolution and post-evolution moves will not be relearnable via the Move Relearners.
Move Relearners will charge {{Pdollar}}2,000 per transaction, and two are stationed per region. They are available in the following areas:

Pre-Evo Move Tutors can also recover lost moves; where they are dichotomized is that move-inheritors will allow evolved forms to relearn moves of their pre-evolutions, thereby affording move-learning continuity for moves exclusive to the pre-evolution that may have been forgotten or never learned—most common for [[Evolutionary Items|stone-evolved]] Pokémon, which tend to be irretentive of most of their pre-evolution's moves.
Pre-Evo Move Tutors are stationed in all of the [[daycare centers]] available (check side rooms), and they will charge {{Pdollar}}10,000 per move.

No parent combinations are needed in order for the Pokémon to learn the Egg Move. The Pokémon will have unrestricted access to every Egg Move it would have in the handheld games, and an identical move pool will carry over to its evolutions. It will cost {{Pdollar}}15,000 per transaction.

Move tutors, or tutors, are NPCs that impart move techniques to Pokémon. They allow Pokémon to learn moves that might otherwise be unavailable, or learn said moves before the Pokémon reaches the required level. Since move tutors are in various locations throughout the game, one will need access to the area that they are stationed in.

TM-tutors
TM tutors are a special subtype of move tutors that provide another avenue for learning TMs for those that do not yet have their TM items programmed in. While TM tutors are functionally identical to conventional move tutors, they are different in the Pokémon move pools that they teach.
While TM-tutors do enable Pokémon to learn missing TMs, they lack the portability of conventional TM items and are only considered a workaround for the lack of those items. As such, they are only expected to exist until the items themselves are in the game.

Specialized tutors
Specialized tutors are functionaries used to teach Pokémon a gamut moves that were learnable by other, non-tutor methods in the official canon. Typically only one or two specialized tutors are instated in each region, and they
Move Relearners
Move Relearners will teach any move within the Pokémon's level-up move pool that the Pokémon has satisfied the level requirement for. This means that the Pokémon must have already reached the level requirement for the move, in order to relearn it. This is the principal means of restoring lost or forgotten moves. Pre-evolution and post-evolution moves will not be relearnable via the Move Relearners.
Move Relearners will charge 2,000 per transaction, and two are stationed per region. They are available in the following areas:
- Kanto - Cerulean City; Saffron City; Tutor Heaven
- Johto - Goldenrod City; Blackthorn City
- Hoenn - Slateport City marketplace; Sootopolis City
- Sinnoh - Snowpoint City and Hearthome City
Pre-Evolution Move Tutors
Pre-Evo Move Tutors can also recover lost moves; where they are dichotomized is that move-inheritors will allow evolved forms to relearn moves of their pre-evolutions, thereby affording move-learning continuity for moves exclusive to the pre-evolution that may have been forgotten or never learned—most common for stone-evolved Pokémon, which tend to be irretentive of most of their pre-evolution's moves.
Pre-Evo Move Tutors are stationed in all of the daycare centers available (check side rooms), and they will charge 10,000 per move.
Egg Moves tutors
- Main article: Egg Moves
A move-tutor exists that amalgamates all egg-inherited moves in the handheld games. These move-tutors are stationed in every daycare center and Tutor Heaven. Access to them entails defeating Naero's boss NPC.
No parent combinations are needed in order for the Pokémon to learn the Egg Move. The Pokémon will have unrestricted access to every Egg Move it would have in the handheld games, and an identical move pool will carry over to its evolutions. It will cost 15,000 per transaction.
Tutor Heaven
- Main article: Tutor Heaven
Tutor Heaven houses TM Teachers and Move Tutors. It is accessible via Thor in Vermilion City and is reserved for the top 25 PvP players.
Legendary Events tutor
Researcher Allen, accessible upon completion of the Legendary Events Move quest, can teach extragenerational moves to Legendary Pokémon that do not otherwise have them in their learnsets (limited to one Generation, currently VII). He can be found in the Ruins of Alph Research Center, and he'll charge 20,000 for each move.
