Sinnoh Elite Four
The Sinnoh Elite Four can be fought in Pokemon League Sinnoh. The player must fight five difficult trainers, and it is suggested to use Pokémons from previous regions, as they are already trained and ready to fight the Elite Four. However, unlike Hoenn, Sinnoh has an excellent leveling spot in Sendoff Spring. Each trainer will fight with a full team of 6 Pokémons, and all but one of them will have one Mega evolved Pokémon.
The player will have to fight the five following trainers:
- Aaron, a Bug type master.
- Bertha, a Ground type master.
- Flint, a Fire type master.
- Lucian, a Psychic type master.
- Cynthia, the Champion who does not specialize in any type.
Aaron
Aaron will be the first member of the Elite Four waiting for the player. Using a full Bug monotype team, he will be weak to Fire, Flying and Rock. However, he has one or two Pokémons that are not weak to each of those types and, of course, he knows some moves super effective against Pokémons of those types. Particularly, Rock type Pokémons will struggle as they will usually be outsped and will take super effective attacks from five our of his six Pokémons. As most of his Pokemons are on the very fast side, going defensively can work well too. Poison types, in particular, will resist their STAB attacks and take no super effective from his whole team and resist all of Accelgor's moves.

Bertha
Bertha is the Ground type trainer, and the only Sinnoh Elite Four member without a Mega evolution. Despite that, she should be underestimated. Her Hippowdon and Tyranitar will usually bring Sandstorm, causing lot of damage over time to the player's team, while activating the abilities of her following Pokémons, Excadrill and Garchomp. Furthermore, she does not take her weaknesses lightly, as Grass, Ice, Water and Flying will all take super effective attacks from three to all of her six Pokémons. Setting up also proves to be difficult against her Hippowdon as it may use Whirlwind at any time. Her only special attacks being non-STAB from her Tyranitar which does not have excellent Special attack, a physical wall, particularly if it knows Levitate such as Weezing, may be able to put off something, but otherwise, a swift and strong Pokémon that can make use of both Water and Ice type moves, preferably on the special side, is probably the safest bet.

Flint
Flint is the Fire type specialist, and perhaps the most offensive of all of Sinnoh's Elite Four members. With Flare Blitz being used by half of his Pokémons, any Pokémon that does not resist Fire will struggle staying alive. Fortunately, he is not very good at handling Dragon and Ground types. The former will resist his STAB attacks and take no super effective hit, while the later will be able to hit super effective all of his team while only fearing Ninetales' Energy Ball. This particularly makes Garchomp his worst nemesis. Water type moves will also be super effective, although Pokémons of that type will also take super effective from his first four Pokémons.

Lucian
Lucian is the first member of Sinnoh's Elite Four that uses a type previously used in other Elite Fours, being Psychic. His lead choice, Alakazam, will punish those trying to set-up on the first turns with his quick and devastating attacks. Sucker Punch is the easiest solution, but any physical Pokémon that can either survive a hit or outspeed him can easily take him down in one hit. Bronzong will be the best Pokémon to set-up on, especially if it resists Psychic; its Calm Mind is of no use for its other moves. Defensively, the best type will be Bug, although they will only be super effective against two of his Pokémons. Ghost types will rather be the most efficient offensively, although they have to be careful of the front and back Pokémons with their Shadow Ball and Knock Off.

Cynthia
Cynthia, a popular character in the franchise, uses a very balanced team worthy of her Champion title. There are no evident weakness to exploit, and will be an all-on battle. However, it is to note that Fairy will do particularly well on all of her Pokémons except her Roserade. Lucario may seem scary to the fairies, but as it does not know any Steel move, Lucario is the one in disadvantage for that matchup. Playing defensively against Cynthia can prove innefficient, as Milotic can take defensive boosts away with Dragon Tail and use Recover, Spiritomb will wear down the already lowered PPs with Pressure, and two of her other Pokémons can possibly break through with Swords Dance.
