Sucker Punch is a Dark-type increased-priority damage-dealing move.
Function
Sucker Punch inflicts damage, and it is a +1-tier priority move; this means that it will always prevene the opponent's attack unless they are using a higher-tier priority move or an even-tier priority move where they would win the tie-breaker due to actively having a greater Speed stat in-battle.
There are move-specific provisos for its priority, however; it will only succeed if the opponent is using a physical- or special-based move wherein they have not yet had a chance to execute it.
