Obtainability

Berry trees

Berries are principally obtained by harvesting them from berry trees, which can be found in most tillage-viable areas—namely routes and forests, wherein most berry-tree allotments can be found.

Berry trees are monoproductional, meaning that they will return the exact-same berry archetype each time it grows. Most berry trees will regrow after three real-world days have elapsed; the only outlier to that is the EV-berry trees, which regrow after 4 days.

EV Reduction Berry trees

There are several locations where you can find EV Reduction berries out in the open, such as:

  • Viridian Maze where you can find all 6 of these berries
  • Route 115 where you can find Kelpsy, Tamato and Pomeg berries (Attack, Speed, HP).
  • Petalburg Maze where you can find all 6 of these berries.
  • Route 212 North where you can find Qualot and Hondew berries (Defence, Sp. Attack).
  • Route 218 where you can find Grepa and Qualot berries (Sp. Defence, Defence).
  • Route 224 where you can find Grepa berries (Sp. Defence).
  • Route 228 where you can find Grepa and Pomeg berries (Sp. Defence, HP).

Headbutt Trees

Headbutting trees will have a chance of dropping berries.

Berry shops

Upon defeating the Pumpkin King boss in Lavender Town Graveyard, a berry-vendor will be made accessible in Goldenrod City Flower Shop. He will sell all EV-reductive berries for 3,000 apiece, thereby providing the most prolific avenue of obtaining them for those that are affluent enough to expend the requisite Pokédollars for them.

Extra-organic usages

Item Buyer

All non-EV-reductive berries can be sold to the item-buyers that exist on the first floor of all Department Stores for 25 apiece, thereby providing a more marginal method of moneymaking for those that have plentifully collected berries.

Moo Moo Farm

Cornn Berries, which can be held by wild Meowth on Route 39, are solely used as a quest item for the Moo Moo Farm (quest).
