Fortree City Route 120 Route 121

Route 120 is a Hoenn route located between Fortree City and Route 121. At the very exit to Route 121, an NPC will block the way until the player has completed Fortree City's Gym.

The route is quite lengthy and unique in its layout. In the middle of the route is a tall grass maze, making it difficult to navigate. The route also has invisible Kecleon scattered throughout it, some of them also blocking some paths of the tall grass maze. There are also a few ponds, one of them isolating the place where it is possible to fight Registeel and obtain its see data.

The route has been turned into an EV Training route; It is possible to EV train any of the stats by coming at the right time of the day, without having to worry about running into a Pokémon that gives the wrong EV. Due to this, it is also possible to capture Pokémon evolved earlier than possible. It is also the EV Training route with the lowest level Pokémon, making it ideal if the player wants to keep the EV trained Pokémons low level.

Notable miscellanies

Devon Scope and Kecleon

Steven will be blocking the way early in the route, along with something invisible. When speaking to Steven, he'll use his device to turn the invisible Kecleon visible, initiating a fight with it. The Kecleon will strangely be labeled as from Steven's team, which means it cannot be captured.

After the battle, Steven will give the player a Devon Scope, which makes it possible to fight the invisible Kecleon in Route 120 and, more importantly, the Kecleon blocking the way to Fortree City's Gym. Unlike that first Kecleon, they are wild Pokémons and can be captured. Their levels vary between level 25 and 35.

Registeel

Registeel is in Ancient Tomb, the cave isolated around water under the northmost bridge, meaning it will be necessary to use Surf to reach it. It will be possible to fight it after defeating the Hoenn Elite Four. The battle, however, is only to obtain its seen data, and thus it cannot be caught nor rechallenged, even after defeat. He is estimated to be level 120.

Registeel
  • Emboldened moves avail from a STAB bonus when deployed by that Pokémon.
  • Italicized moves are functionally broken; see their individualized pages for more information.
