Love Island is an extra island located in Kanto. It can be accessed from the Love Sailor in Vermilion City. However, going to it requires the player to have the caught data of 120 Generation 1 Pokémon, as well as 38 evolved data in total. It also costs 5,000 to travel to Love Island, unless the player has an active Transit Pass.
The Island is a very valuable place to visit. On top of being home to a large ammount of rare Pokémons and being the location to evolve Eevee into Sylveon, it also offers many things to do. The main attraction is certainly the Pink Crystals, which have a high chance of valuable rewards, including a Deep Sea Tooth that is necessary to obtain for entering Sinnoh. There are also Berry Stumps, rewarding Berries that halve the damage taken from a specific type when super-effective. There are many Move Tutors as well as a boss duo.
Finally, although less interesting than its outside part, Love Island has a cave called Diamond Domain, which can be accessed in its north-western part.
