Route 43 is a Johto route, linking Mahogany Town to Lake Of Rage. The route has a clear main path that leads directly to the Lake Of Rage, and a side path on the west side with many trees that turn it into a maze. Entering the Lake Of Rage from this side path leads to a separated, story-optional area.

By spreading Honey onto the tree, a random wild Pokémon will appear, and the tree will enter a cooldown of 24 hours.
