Goldenrod City

Route 35 is a Johto route between Goldenrod City and the National Park. A side path also heads directly to Route 36, although the path is blocked by a Cut tree.

Initially, the path to the two northern contiguous areas will be blocked by Police officers, who will ask to complete a small quest before letting the player move on further.

Notable miscellanies

Spearow Mail Quest

The first time the player walks the Route 35, Police officers will be blocking the way to the National Park, and will call the player back off the grass. Until the quest is complete, they will not let the player progress any further.

Their request is simple: they want to deliver a mail to an officer that has left his post. Said officer can be found in front of the Bike Shop in Goldenrod City, which is located at the far south-east of the city. After talking to him, he will disappear and let the player keep the Spearow.

Afterwards, the Police officers will no longer prevent the player from entering the grassy path. Talking to them, they will give an HP Up as a reward and disappear, allowing passage to National Park.
