New Mauville is a Hoenn Power plant isolated on an island northeast of Route 110. On top of requiring Surf to reach it, the entrance is also going to be blocked until the Hoenn Elite Four has been completed.

It is most notable for being the location of two very important quests. The first quest, for which all of the area is dedicated to, is to unlock the teleporter, allowing fast travelling between Pokémon Centers of Hoenn and Sinnoh. An important NPC for the second quest, which unlocks Sinnoh, is also hidden inside of New Mauville. It is thus necessary to at least visit this area at least once in order to complete all of Pokémon Revolution Online's storyline.

Notable miscellanies

Teleporter Quest

After talking to Wattson in the Pokécenter of Mauville City you should see him talking to Magma and Aqua admins Shelly and Courtney in New Mauville. After the Magma and Aqua admins are gone, Wattson will explain that he wants to shut down New Mauville. Without much explanation as to why, he leaves, leaving it to the player to head down.

Objective 1: Reach the main computer

The first objective will be to reach the northeastern-most room, where the main computer is stationed. However, because of all the electrical barriers, it will first be necessary to battle the Aqua Grunt near the entrance. Proceed west and defeat the next Aqua Grunt, who will reveal the location of the remote-control key, which you will need to progress towards the east. Retrieve the key from the next room past the Aqua Grunt. Look for it in the bottom-right corner of the room, inside the single box. Go east, as the barrier to the north is still blocked. Beat the four Grunts so you can proceed north. After beating three more Grunts, you will find yourself in the final room, where you have to battle the admins Courtney and Shelly.

Objective 2: Repairing the computer

After a short cutscene speak to Wattson. He'll ask the player to get his Plusle and Minun. Those two Pokémon have a very long patrol path, however, speaking to them while they are not near a generator is no good. As such, it is necessary to go to the generator rooms and wait until they appear:

  • Minun: Two rooms east of Lt. Surge.
  • Plusle: The room west of the entrance, where the Aqua Grunt that hid the key was. It is necessary to stand immediately next to the pillar with a yellow orb.

After this is done and reported back to Wattson, he will give the next instruction. This time, he wants to install a program on three computers. These are located in any Pokémon Center, however which ones can be installed to are randomly selected from the following towns:

When inside a Pokémon Center, speak to the Security Officers on the upper floor to enter the Transmat Station. Once inside, the computer to examine is on the west side of the room. If it is one of the three selected computers, it will say it has been successfully uploaded. Otherwise, it will say a countermeasure has already been installed.

Once all three programs have been successfully installed, Courtney will appear on the east side of the room. It will be necessary to fight her, and she will be the biggest challenge of this quest. After this, the player has to walk back to Wattson. After talking to Wattson, the teleporter will be unlocked, and all the guards will disappear after talking to one of them once.

Fake pokeballs

New Mauville appears to have a lot of items. However, half of them are fake, triggering a fight with a level 30 Voltorb. All of them except the one in the north-eastmost room are considered wild and can be caught.
