Officer Jenny bounties

Bounties are one-off miniquests commissioned by Officer Jenny. She can be found nearby five Pokémon Centers throughout Kanto, offering different sets of bounties in each location.

These bounties are recommendable for newer players who have limited assets and Pokémoney, helping flexibilize their budgets until more profitable content and opportunities are available.

Overview

Each bounty can only be completed once per account; however, they can be done at any juncture throughout the trainer's storyline progress while the location is reachable. If you've already completed the assigned the task beforehand, you can immediately reap the reward.

Jenny will reward variable amounts of Pokédollars for bounty completions, which are incrementally higher in locations requiring advanced storyline progression to access. Some will unlock secondary tasks for additional rewards, essentializing the Pokémon or move technique you requisitely obtained during the initial task.

While the nature of the bounties are diverse and sometimes unique, most classifiably entail several common frameworks: Pokémon or item obtentions, NPC battles, and move techniques.

Pokémon

You can obtain the requisite Pokémon both in the wild or via game content (e.g., quest rewards); however, you must be the registered OT of the Pokémon you're presenting. Some of these bounties stipulate specific Pokémon individualities, such as requested [[Natures] and Abilities.

Unless noted otherwise, you do not have to relinquish the Pokémon; Jenny typically only wants you to show it to her.

Items

The method of obtention also does not matter for items. Unlike Pokémon tasks, you can also trade for it with another player since items have no identifiable originator.

Trainer battles

You need to defeat an assigned NPC; thereafter, Jenny will dispense your reward upon speaking to her. The assignee is typically a nondescript battle NPC, but it occasionally requires defeating Gym-leaders as well.

Move techniques

You teach any Pokémon the specified move by any method, such as level-up, TMs and HMs, move tutors, and Egg Moves; you just need to show the Pokémon to Jenny while toting. If one of your Pokémon has already learned the move beforehand, you can instantanly complete the bounty.

These bounties often unlock secondary miniquests wherein Jenny suggests using the acquired move to obtain a Pokémon or item. While this is often the most expeditious method, it is not categorically necessary; as long as you show the required object regardless of its genesis, it will satisfy Jenny.

Viridian City Bounties

Title Reward Objective Defeat Bug Catcher Gerald 3,000 Defeat Bug Catcher Gerald in Viridian Forest. Clear Route 1 of Rattata 5,000 Collect 3 Rattata Hairs using Thief on wild Rattata on Route 1. Jenny provides one free TM96 (Thief) for the task. Capture a Sentret 7,500 Capture a Sentret. They spawn commonly on Route 1 during the day and night.

Pewter City Bounties

Title Reward Objective Beat Brock 1,250 Present the Boulder Badge as proof that you defeated Brock in Pewter Gym. Catch a Pikachu 3,500 Show a Pikachu. It spawns nearby in Viridian Forest. Teach a Pokémon Headbutt (Part 1) 5,000 Show a Pokémon that knows Headbutt. A tutor in Viridian Maze will teach it for 2,000 per tutorage. Teach a Pokémon Headbutt (Part 2) 9,000 Show a Silcoon. You can encounter it via the Headbutt trees in Pewter City.

Cerulean City Bounties

Title Reward Objective Effort Train a Pokémon 5,000 Accrue at least 50 EVs for one of your Pokémon's stats. Teach a Pokémon Dig (Part 1) 1 Soft Sand Show a Dig-knowing Pokémon. You can find one TM28 (Dig) in Cerulean House 6 after defeating Misty in Cerulean Gym. Teach a Pokémon Dig (Part 2) 1 Big Pearl Show two different types of gems. They are recommendably obtainable in diggable patches. Catch a Cute Clefairy (Part 1) 7,500 Show a Clefairy with the Cute Charm Ability. The Pokémon spawns in Mt. Moon. Catch a Cute Clefairy (Part 2) 4,000 Give your Clefairy with the Ability Cute Charm to Schoolgirl Laila in Vermilion City's library.

Celadon City Bounties

Title Reward Objective Fight Michael 10,000 and 1 Bright Powder Defeat Criminal Michael for restitution of his stolen items. He can be found on Route 17 (Requires the player to have unlocked the Bicycle during Story) Buy an HP Up 14,000 Show an HP Up. You can buy one for 8,000 on the 5th floor of Celadon Department Store.

Fuchsia City Bounties

Title Reward Objective Catch an Exeggcute in the Safari 10,000 Show an Exeggcute to her. Jenny will disburse 7,000 beforehand to cover the entrance fee for the Kanto Safari Zone, where Exeggcute is huntable. Catch a Hidden Ability Nidoran 10,000 and 10 Repeat Balls Show a Nidoran of either gender possessing Hustle, its hidden ability.

Cinnabar Island Bounties

Title Reward Objective Catch a Corsola 10 Net Balls Catch a Corsola and show it to Officer Jenny. This Pokémon spawns either on Cinnabar Island or on Route 20 during Morning and Day phase.
