This quest is known for its high and hard requirements regarding the evolution data which makes this quest one of the hardest and time-consuming quest's in Pokémon Revolution Online. The pure order of events are plainly easier.

Once you have accomplished all evolutions, be Hoenn champ and have done the Jirachi quest, you can travel to Littleroot Town and talk to the reporter's located above the Starter House. As result you will scare away the Latias next to the reporter's and those will disappear after a small dialogue.

Once you have found the right location, interact with it. Latias will evolve into Mega Latias and a battle will start. Mega Latias has a level around 100-120. Even if Mega evolved, you will get the seen data of Latias once you started the fight, the outcome of the battle does not matter. When the battle is over, you have to go back to the Player House and interact with the TV. Now, a Blue Pokémon is roaming around - Latios.
Latios also has ten possible locations, same as Latias.

*do not meet any requirement, the TV will show 'nothing interesting'.
**HM01 Cut is required in order to access the maze and HM05 Flash is recommended as it is dark in there.

Important at this part is, that you can choose only once. You can change later your Latios to Latias or Latias to Latios but all stats will be randomly set again. More information under 'change your legendary'.
Same as with Latias here, once you interacted with it, it will mega evolve into Mega Latios, and a battle will start. The seen data will be from Latios.

After this escapade you can return to the TV once more and choose which of the two legendary Pokémon you want to catch.

Now, when you have choosen your Pokémon, step out of the Starter House and walk up to the location where the reporter stand - above the players house. In case the legendary was not successfully caught, you have the chance to catch it again by beating Nikola.

Changing your chosen legendary once was possible but has been removed with the addition of the World Quest, which makes it possible to obtain the other pokémon of this duo.

Instructional walkthrough

Accomplishment of the Dex requirements

In order to start the quest you need to have all non-legendary caught data for Hoenn (Generation 3)

Littleroot Town and catching the legendary

Watching TV is a important part of this quest!

Once you have gathered all the caught data from Hoenn needed and have become Hoenn Champion, you can travel to Littleroot Town and talk to the reporters located above the Starter House. As a result, you will scare away the Latias next to the reporters and they will disappear after some light dialogue.

Now, enter the starting house and interact with the TV. The TV will tell you that a Red Pokémon is roaming around so you will have to hunt down Latias. However, Latias can be at ten possible locations.

Latias

Once you have found the right location, interact with it. Latias will evolve into Mega Latias and a battle will start. Mega Latias has a level around 100-120. Even if Mega evolved, you will get the seen data of Latias once you started the fight, the outcome of the battle does not matter. When the battle is over, you have to go back to the Player House and interact with the TV. Now, a Blue Pokémon is roaming around - Latios. Latios also has ten possible locations, same as Latias.

Latios

Same as with Latias here, once you interacted with it, it will mega evolve into Mega Latios, and a battle will start. The seen data will be from Latios.

After this escapade you can return to the TV once more and choose which of the two legendary Pokémon you want to catch.

Now, when you have chosen your Pokémon, step out of the Starter House and walk up to the location where the reporter was, above the players house. The chosen legendary should appear and be ready to catch. The Pokémon is at level 40, make sure to be prepared for this fight. In case the legendary was not successfully caught, it will respawn with the same Nature, Abiliy and IVs as in their first encounter.

World Quest Introduction

With the Introduction of the Worldquest you can catch either Latias or Latios, depending on which Pokemon you caught during the quest, on Birth Island for which u need a Mysterious Ticket to gain access to.
