Route 116 is a Hoenn route located between Rustboro City and Rusturf Tunnel. There's also a small part of the route that is isolated and must be accessed from one of the exits of Rusturf Tunnel, however there is nothing there except for a respawnable Black Glasses.

Notable miscellanies

Rachel's Friends Quest (Tukul)

One the locations the second friend of Rachel can be found at is in the north of the tree maze, which will require Cut to access. He will trade the player's Potion for a Pokeball.

The next friend to find will be Kylo, who can be found in one of the buildings of Mauville City.

Pokemon Ranger Bobby

In the only house of the route, Pokémon Ranger Bobby will ask a favor to the player. He wants the player to confirm two rumors:

• Solrock will appear in Cave of Origin B3F during midday (12:00-13:00 Poké Time).
• Lunatone will appear in Mt. Pyre 1F during midnight (00:00-01:00 Poké Time).

These do not refer to wild encounters. When entering these maps at the correct time, an interactable Solrock or Lunatone will roam, and a battle will be initiated upon talking to them. Both will be level 25 and capturable.

Once both have been fought, Pokémon Ranger Bobby will reward the player with either a Sun Stone or a Moon Stone, to the choice of the player.

Honey Tree

Main article: Honey Tree

The Honey Tree in Route 114 is located in the south-west portion of Route 114. By spreading Honey onto the tree, a random wild Pokémon will appear, and the tree will enter a cooldown of 24 hours. This Honey Tree is categorized as a Bug tree; spreading Honey to multiple Bug Honey Trees in a row will reward with stronger Bug type Pokémon.
