Comatose is one of the many abilities that are inheritable by Pokémon.
It is the signature ability of Komala.
Function
The Pokémon with Comatose ability is considered to be asleep and cannot become affected by a non-volatile status condition or Yawn. The Pokémon can still use moves, including successfully using Sleep Talk and Snore, but cannot successfully use Rest.
Comatose is unaffected by the effects of Mold Breaker, Teravolt, Turboblaze, Mummy, Trace, Power of Alchemy, Receiver, Lingering Aroma, Neutralizing Gas,Wandering Spirit abilities.
The effects of the following moves fail against Comatose: Simple Beam, Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, Role Play, Skill Swap, Entrainment, Doodle, Core Enforcer.
