Shadow Shield (ability)

Shadow Shield is one of the many abilities that are inheritable by Pokémon.

Function

If a Pokémon with Shadow Shield ability is at full HP, damage taken from attacks is halved.
When hit with a multistrike move like Rock Blast at maximum HP, only the first hit will have its damage reduced.
It does not reduce the amount of HP taken from direct damage moves like Final Gambit and Counter.
Unlike Multiscale, this ability cannot be ignored by moves or abilities.
