The Scizorite quest is the quest done in order to acquire the Mega Stone for Scizor—the Scizorite.

Preparations

To make the quest go as smoothly as possible, these preparations should be made:

• 3 Bug type Pokémon, preferably level 100
• A level 100 Scizor with at least 20 IVs in both attack and defense; it must also have 200 EVs in attack(does not need to have your OT)

Instructional Walkthrough

To begin the quest, go to the National Park in Johto and speak with Bugsy. He will explain that he is hosting a tournament centered around Bug type Pokémon. To register, you must show him a level 100 Scizor with at least 20 IVs in both attack and defense, as well as 200 EVs in attack. Note that the Scizor does not need to have your OT.

Tournament

After successfully registering, you will need to face off against several NPCs in a bracket-style tournament. Each battle will be 3v3 and only Bug type Pokémon are allowed.

All NPCs cool down after 7 days unless noted contrariwise. All NPCs may have new Pokémons, or higher level Pokémons upon rematch unless noted contrariwise.

After defeating all four trainers, you will be crowned the winner and will receive the Scizorite.
