Double Slap is a Normal-type damage-dealing move.

Functionality

Double Slap is a multi-strike damage-dealing move.

Conversely to its name, it does not inerratically hit twice per turn; it hits 2-5 strikes per turn. The motional logic behind the naming is that the move will strike once with the palm and then with the backhand in tandem, thereby constituting two strikes in its execution, but that does not impose any limitation on the total amount of strikes as forenoted.

Each strike will be treated as a discrete attack; for example, if the opponent is employing a Focus Band, Focus Sash, or the Sturdy ability, they will only sustain the first swipe and will faint on the subsequent swipe(s) if they do not have enough HP remaining to sustain it.
