Cerulean Cave is a Kanto that is situated on the outskirts Cerulean City. It can be entered from the northeasternmost expanse of land of the eponymous city, which is reachable from the waterway that confluently flows from Route 24.

As one of the end-game training areas, it is only made accessible upon completing the eponymous quest; since this prerequires extensive access to both regions, it will not be made accessible until one has completed the biregional gamut of gyms. Until the quest is completed, a guard will occlude your entry into this cave.

With the wild-Pokémon spawns averaging out in the high-50s and low-60s neighborhood and spawnsets that predominantly comprise evolved-stage Pokémon, this is considered the most potent training area in PRO. It also houses the highest-leveled NPC trainers that are known, thereby richening the experience-points payouts that are attainable from this area.

Notable miscellanies

Naero

Main article: Naero

Naero is challengable on the basement floor of this cave. He cools down after 12 days; that duration is halved to 6 days with active membership.

Defeating him will reap access to all Daycare Centers in PRO; by virtue of this access, you will also have tuteeship access to Egg Moves, since the Egg Moves-tutors are stationed in each of them.

Naero also multitudinously rewards baby-stage Pokémon each time he is defeated.

Mewtwo

An overworld-interactable Mewtwo inhabits the basement floor.

While this Mewtwo is not catchable, you will automatically register its seen-data entry in your Pokédex by battling it; this is needed for the Mew quest, which stipulates that 150 seen-data entries of Generation I Pokémon is needed in order to access Mew's inhabiting island, including Mewtwo's.

If you have battled this Mewtwo yet have lost its seen-data entry, you can use the restitutionary machine in Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town in order to recover it.

PP Up-vendor

On the second floor, a PP Up-vendor will sell you the item for 15,000 apiece for up to 5 times per day.
