Mimicry (ability)

Mimicry is one of the many abilities that are inheritable by Pokémon.

Function

Mimicry will change the type of a Pokémon depending on the terrain. Its type changes as follows:

• During Electric Terrain, it will become a pure Electric type.
  
• During Grassy Terrain, it will become a pure Grass type.
  
• During Misty Terrain, it will become a pure Fairy type.
  
• During Psychic Terrain, it will become a pure Psychic type.

When the terrain disappears, the Pokémon reverts to its original typing.
Its effect activates after the Pokémon with Mimicry is switched in while terrain is present, or whenever there is a change in terrain.
