Solaceon Town is a Sinnoh town located between Route 209 and Route 210. The entrance to Maniac Tunnel, a shortcut to Route 214, is located on the east side of the route, although it will be blocked until the player reaches the other end of the tunnel.

Solaceon Town may appear at first glance to be an unimportant town. However, on top of being the location for the region's Daycare Center, it is also where the News Reporter is located, a daily quest that rewards much desired items. These two features turn it into one of the most important locations of Sinnoh.

Daycare Center

There is a Daycare Center built in the north-west of the town. Although it won't be opened the first time the route is visited, it will become a useful location after it has been unlocked. See the main article for more information.

News Reporter

The News Reporter is located inside the building adjacent to the Pokémon Center. Each day, the News Reporter will request to see a Pokémon. The News Reporter will only accept Pokémon with your OT, meaning you have to be the one who caught it. Furthermore, the shown Pokémon must be freshly caught. Showing a shiny Pokémon will double the rewards.

During days 1-5, the requested Pokémon will be limited to tiers 5-6. During days 6 and 7, the requested Pokémon will limited to tiers 8-9. Days 1-5

Rewards

Every time his request is fulfilled, he will give a reward based on the number of times the player has helped him. There are 7 rewards in a cycle, so once he has been helped 7 times, he will revert to the 1st day reward. For every 25 requests fulfilled, you will be rewarded with a 48 hour Safari Pass.
