Route 12 is a trijunctional route in eastern Kanto route.

The area encompasses a circuitous bridge that spans from Lavender Town's gatehouse to the expanse of land on Route 13, providing a pedestrial course en route to Fuchsia City to obtain the Soul Badge

This route will only be segmentally accessible while the sedentary Snorlax is sleeping on the bridge's trisection; until then, you will be roadblocked when entering the route from Lavender Town or Route 11. A Pokéflute must be acquired from the Pokéflute quest in order to rouse the Snorlax and battle it.

Notable miscellanies

Snorlax

A one-off interactable Snorlax can be encountered at the trisection of this route once a Pokéflute has been obtained from Mr. Fuji, providing a guaranteed encounter with the otherwise-rare Pokémon. It is spawned as a level-30 wild Pokémon in-battle when interacted with, and it is catchable; however, due to limitations of NPC-initiated wild-Pokémon battles, it has no generable shiny chance.

Regardless of whether you faint or capture the Pokémon, your encounter with it will deobstruct it from the area, allowing you to proceed through the rest of the route.

Fishing hats

Hats that are thematized towards the fishing hobby are sold to active members in the route's centric house. The following ones are available:
