Abandoned Ship is a Hoenn shipwreck that can be entered in the east side of Route 108. The Abandoned Ship is not story-mandatory, but many useful items can be salvaged on the ship. Most notably, completing its area quest rewards a Clamperl as well as one of its evolution items at random.

Abandoned Ship Quest
When arriving at the deepest door of the ship, the door will be locked by a multi-slot lock, and the player will be warned that 6 keys are required in order to unlock the door. They are at the following locations:
- Abandoned Ship 1F Room 2 (east room of 1F). Will be hidden under the float rings in the north-west part of the room.
- Abandoned Ship B1F. The Wingull wandering the room is holding it, and it will be necessary to fight it. Note that it can also be captured.
- Abandoned Ship B1F Room 1 (north-west room of B1F). Will be hidden in the westmost crate.
- Abandoned Ship B1F Room 3 (middle room south of B1F). Will be visible in the water.
- Abandoned Ship B1F Room 4 (south-eastmost room of B1F). Will be visible in the middle of the room.
- Abandoned Ship 1F Room 1 (west room of 1F). Will be hidden on the pillow of the bed in the north part.
With all 6 keys obtained, the last room will be unlocked. Inside of it is Captain Bickerstaff, who will fight the player upon speaking to him.
After defeating him, an Abandoned Pokémon will appear, which will be a level 15 Clamperl. He will also give the player the key to the Storage, the north-east room of B1F. In it will be a "mossy blob" as well as TM68 (Rain Dance). The mossy blob, along with the Scanner, can be traded for a random chance at either a Deep Sea Scale or a Deep Sea Tooth from Captain Stern in Slateport City's Museum.

Scanner
On the west side of Abandoned Ship 1F, Sailor Wendy will give the player the Scanner item simply for talking to him. This item does not appear in the player's inventory, but it can be traded for a random chance at either a Deep Sea Scale or a Deep Sea Tooth along with the mossy blob obtained from the Abandoned Ship Quest.
Aqua Tail Tutor
A Move Tutor for the move Aqua Tail is located east of the exterior area. He will teach the move to any compatible Pokémon for the price of 7,000.
Toothless (boss)
Located in Abandoned Ship B1F Room 1, or the north-west room of B1F, Toothless will fight the player on the condition that he or she has a full party of 6 level 100 Pokémons as well as over 300 accumulated hours of playtime. See the main article for more information.
