Route 48
Route 47 Cliff Edge Gate

Route 47 is a Johto route located inbetween Cianwood City and Route 48. It is also entangled with Cliff Edge Gate, which separates the route from Cianwood City and is required to cross in order to reach the multiple levels of the route.

Although the route itself has not much to offer, it is known for being the first route to traverse in order to reach the regional Johto Safari.

Notable miscellanies

Explosion Tutor

A Move Tutor for the move Explosion can be found near the north end of the route. He will teach the move to any compatible Pokémon for the price of 15,000.

Abandoned Pokémon

There is an Abandoned Pokémon on the cliff isolated by water west of the northern exit of the route. The Pokémon will be hidden behind the very tall tree. Picking it up will provide the player with an equal chance of either a Sandile, a Trapinch, or a Drilbur, all of which will be initialized at level 15. This is a very valuable Abandoned Pokémon, as they are all very rare Pokémons.
