Mahogany Town is a Johto town located between Route 42 and Route 44. A side route, Route 43 leads to the Lake of Rage.

The main building in the town is its Souvenir Shop. Just like in the original game, it is the facade of a Rocket Hideout, which will be necessary to clear before being able to challenge the gym.

The main building of Mahogany Town is its Souvenir Shop. Not only is it required to visit for the story, it also serves as the town's Pokémart.

Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout

In the back of the building are stairs, which lead to the Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout. It will be necessary to clear this hideout before accessing the town's gym. However, it will first be blocked by an NPC saying there's nothing suspicious beyond. It is necessary to first talk to Chappy in Lake of Rage before being able to go down the stairs.

Icy Wind tutor

A Move Tutor for the move Icy Wind is also staying inside the Souvenir Shop. He will teach the move to any compatible Pokémon for the price of 12,000.
