Pokémon Mounts, colloquially shortened to Mounts, are ridable Pokémon items.

Mounts can be subsumed into two exhaustive categories: land mounts and surf mounts; they are functionally identical to Bicycles and surfable Pokémon, respectively.

Mounts do not require its overlaying Pokémon in order to be ridable; they are discrete items from the Pokémon themselves and thus are not indivisible.

Obtaining Mounts

Predominantly speaking, they are originatively acquired on the Coin Shop. All Mounts are uniformly priced at 50 Coins; the shiny counterparts, which exist for every Pokémon Mount, cost 100 Coins.

A more reserved bevy of Pokémon Mounts—namely those modeled after the Legendary Pokémon triumvirates—are purchasable from PvP Coin masters if you have enough PvP Coins to redeem. These have no shiny counterparts to them.

Alternatively, some Mounts can be traded for, thereby providing an extraneous avenue to the Coin Shop for acquiring them. The only currently tradable mounts are the Arcanine and Lapras Mounts.

The only outlier to the Coin Shop exclusivity is the Arcanine Mount, which is procurable from the Arcanine Mount quest.

Available Mounts

Land

Land Mounts are functionally identical to Bicycles, as they quicken the user's mobility at the same rate. Conversely, however, they are inadmissible to Cycling Roads; only prototypical Bicycles can be used to enter them.

Surfable

Surfable Mounts are used to traverse water, thereby providing a substitute for the Surf technique and denecessitating a Surf-wielding Pokémon. HM03 (Surf) and the region's requisite badge will still be needed in order to surf on the Mount, however.
