Location

A positional vantage point of Ice Path in Johto.

Adjacent areas

Route 44 Ice Path
Blackthorn City

Ice Path is a Johto cave separating Route 44 and Blackthorn City. It is a long path going through four different floors and no branching paths. However, the cave is filled with sliding puzzles.

Despite its length, there is nothing of interest inside the cave except for a boss and a few unique Ice Pokémons. As such, it is recommended to examine both burrows on each end of the cave, so that crossing it is less troublesome in the future.

Notable miscellanies

Sliding Puzzles

Just like the previous gym, the Ice Path also has many sliding puzzles. However, the ones in Ice Path are far less straightforward, being much larger and requiring some thinking.

Ice Path 1F Puzzles

Ice Path B1F/B2F Puzzle

Unlike the original games, there are no rock to push inside the holes. Instead, all it is needed to do is to fall down the northmost hole in B1F, then head straight south after falling in B2F.

Lorelei

Lorelei can be found in the south-west corner of the bottom floor of the B1F/B2F Puzzle. She will fight the player if he or she has defeated the Johto Elite Four has been completed. See the main article for more information.
