Power Plant, regionally referred to as Kanto Power Plant, is a facility on Route 10 in Kanto.
The site is situated on the northern expanse of land on the route. Since it is segmentalized by the mountainside of Rock Tunnel, it must be accessed by surfing through the waterway; this requires HM03 (Surf) and either a Surf-toting Pokémon or a surfable mount for the water to be navigable.
In addition to this area's predominance of Electric-type Pokémon, it is best-known for its inhabitance of Zapdos. A one-off battle can be done with the Electric-type Legendary Pokémon; while it is not catchable, its seen-data entry is registrable in your Pokédex from the battle.
Notable miscellanies
Wild Charge-tutor
A TM-tutor herein will teach the Wild Charge technique to all Pokémon that were compatible with the TM in the official games for 15,000 per tutee.
Magneton's evolution
When Magneton is leveled up within this area, it will evolve into Magnezone—the final evolutionary stage in Magnemite's lineage.
Zapdos
An overworld-interactable Zapdos inhabits the environs of the facility.
While this Zapdos is not catchable, you will automatically register its seen-data entry in your Pokédex by battling it; this is needed for the Mew quest, which stipulates that 150 seen-data entries of Generation I Pokémon is needed in order to access Mew's inhabiting island, including Zapdos'.
If you have battled this Zapdos but have lost its seen-data entry, you can use the restitutionary machine in Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town in order to recover it.
