Jubilife City is a Sinnoh city that is located as a 4-way intersection to Route 202, Route 203, Route 204 and Route 218. Route 218 will however be blocked until the Trainers School quest has been completed, while Route 203 will instead be blocked until speaking to Barry in Route 218.

The city may appear to be full of points of interest at first glance, but the reality is actually the opposite. All three big buildings, namely the Radio Station, the Poketch building and the Global Station, all lack any sort of feature, leaving the only point of interest to be the Trainers School with its mandatory quest and its boss.

However, there is an Abandoned Pokémon that is very interesting to pick up, as its possible outcomes, Magby and Elekid, are both useful for the Pokedex and can possibly become main Pokemons for the Sinnoh Story.

Trainers School Quest

As mentionned by many NPCs before reaching Jubilife City, the first objective when entering the city is to head to the Trainers School, which is the first building west of the Pokemon Center. However, Barry will not be there yet, and it is the Teacher that the player must speak to first.

The Teacher will ask to go find 4 children outside of the school. They can be found at the following locations:

  • Lass on the Battle field northwest of the Pokemon Center.
  • Picnicker in the southeast corner of the city.
  • Camper on the west side of the Global Station, in the far west from the Pokemon Center.
  • Youngster on the west side of the Poketch building, in the north-west corner of the city.

All 4 children will battle the player when found. Once they have all been found, the Teacher will thank the player and tell that Barry has gone ahead to Route 218, placing an end to this quest.

Professor Rowan (boss)

The Professor Rowan boss is waiting in the Trainers School. He will fight the player on the conditions that he or she has completed the Sinnoh Elite Four, has at least 100 hours of playtime since starting Sinnoh, and has at the caught data of at least 50 Sinnoh Pokémons as well as the seen data of at least 75 Sinnoh Pokémons and 300 Pokémons overall. See the main article for more information.

Abandoned Pokémon

An Abandoned Pokémon is located at the end of the back alley behind the Global Station, the tall building in the far west from the Pokemon Center. The path to it will however be initially blocked by a Camper on the other end of the building, which is one of the children to find during the Trainers School quest. Picking up the blue pokeball will provide the player with an equal chance of either a Magby or an Elekid, both initialized at level 10.
