Route 43 is a Johto route, linking Mahogany Town to Lake of Rage. The route has a clear main path that leads directly to the Lake of Rage, and a side path on the west side with many trees that turn it into a maze. Entering the Lake of Rage from this side path leads to a separated, story-optional area.
