Silph Co. is the headquartering premise of Silph Company, a manufactural company, in Saffron City. Among Silph Company's products most notably includes the Silph Scope—an optical device used to visibilize otherwise-unidentifiable apparitions, which the player acquires earlier in the game from Celadon Rocket Hideout.

This building was commandeered by Team Rocket as their new clandestine headquarters after they absconded their previous operational base in Celadon City Gaming Corner; this empowered them to pervasively subjugate Saffron City, thereby behooving the player to help quash Team Rocket's control over the base before they can progressibly enter Saffron Gym for their next badge.

Silph Co. mini-quest

Navigating to Giovanni

The warp pads you need to walk onto to reach Giovanno on 11F throughout 3F, 7F, and 11F in top-bottom order.

At its ultimacy, the mini-quest entails defeating Giovanni in your second encounter with him in order to depose Team Rocket's control; by virtue, the mini-quest's overarching objective pivots around reaching Giovanni's partition of the eleventh floor.

Due to the elevator's unusability while the police officers are investigatively controlling it, the only means of reaching the clerical segment of the 11th floor is through the correct concatenation of warp pads; see the pictorial instructions to the right for a visual illustration. For a textual explanation: walk onto the warp-pad on x-coordinate 6 and y-coordinate 6 on the 3rd floor, walk onto the other localized warp-pad southwards, and you will be translocated onto 11F wherein Giovanni's commandeered office is reachable.

This will segue into your second battle with Giovanni, so ensure that you have assembled your most conducive lineup that you can cobble before you tread to him.

Battling Giovanni

Thereupon defeating Giovanni, he will once again abscond the base, and his droves of Team Rocket subordinates will follow suit, thereby liberating Saffron City of their takeover; consequently, Saffron Gym will be accessibilized.

After defeating him, speak to the chairman northwards; he will gratitudinously give three Rare Candies for repelling off Team Rocket.

  • Emboldened moves avail from a STAB bonus when deployed by that Pokémon.
  • Italicized moves are functionally broken; see their individualized pages for more information.
