Arnie is a boss NPC that is stationed in the Whirl Islands on B4F. It is a staff-boss NPC, having been eponymized after the staff member in Arnie (also polynymously known as Thor).

Lugia's seen-data entry

As a byproduct of completing the battle, you will have registered Lugia's seen-data entry in your Pokédex as the conclusory Pokémon in his lineup; this is the only-known avenue for obtaining it so far, and it is covetable to those who are trying to complete the gamut of Pokédex-registrable Pokémon that are currently in the game.

Reward subsets

The standard subsets of rewards will be randomized and rewarded each time; however, upon defeating him three-consecutive times, you will reap one of the standard rewards in addition to the selectability of one out of three Pokémon—including Froakie.

There is no shiny counterpart of Pokémon rewarded from the randomized prizeset; only the selectable prizes have one, which is 1/4,096 in fractional notation (0.0244%, in percental notation).

All rewarded Pokémon will be initialized at level 15; the only exceptions are Dratini and Larvitar in the preliminary prizeset (level 25).
