Chromas, implemented in the winter client in late 2023, are customisation items, that can be applied to their corresponding Pokémon-form, resulting in changing their colors. In addition to that, some Chromas can also be applied to Mounts and other Cosmetics.
How do Chromas work?
Different Chromas exist for different Pokémon event forms. When a Chroma is used on the corresponding form, the color of the form changes. Multiple Chromas for one form can exist, they also apply for any evolution stage of the form. Some Chromas can also be used on corresponding Mounts and other Cosmetics. Chromas and Pokémon which have a Chroma applied to them are not tradable! Once the Chroma is removed from a previously tradable Pokémon, the Pokémon becomes tradeable again.
Note: It is currently (15th Jan 2024) not possible to apply a Chroma to an Mount or Cosmetic, this will be introduced in the future, and will be announced in the PRO Discord on release.
Buying and applying Chromas
Chromas can be bought in the, for the Christmas event only available, Cryofrost Path Costume Shop. To apply a Chroma to your desired Pokémon-form, you have to interact with Painter Fabio who is located in any of the Department Stores (Celadon City, Goldenrod City, Lilycove City or Veilstone City).
Note: When purchasing a Chroma for Pokedollars, players obtain a 50% discount if they have the form with their OT in their account.
