Route 45 is a Johto route between Blackthorn City and Route 46. Due to its one-way nature, it is not possible to return to Blackthorn City after jumping off the first ledge. An entrance to Dark Cave Entrance is located on the far north side, which serves as a significant shortcut to Blackthorn City using the cave's Dig burrow on Route 31.
