Thunder Wave is an Electric-type status-based move.
It is also known as TM45—the encapsulating TM device of this move.
Function
Thunder Wave paralyzes the opponent; the only immunities to that are: Ground-type Pokémon (due to the move's Electric-type classification), Electric-type Pokémon, the Lightning Rod ability, the Limber ability, or if a volatile status ailment already exists (not overwritable if so).
If the user is a Normalize-possessor, it will vulnerate Ground-type Pokémon to the move, since it will be calculated with Normal-type damage-modifiers.
