"This Game Corner? No, it's not for public. Just ask the receptionist, he will say the same thing. And yes, I paid him to say that to visitors. Any problem?"

—Gamer Pewdie

Gamer Pewdie and Gamer Diepy are the two brother Boss NPCs that have paid to make the Goldenrod City Game Corner their own private playground. Until they have been defeated, they will not allow the player to make use of the Game Corner facilities. Furthermore, it is necessary to defeat them both without leaving the building.

Challenging Pewdie and Diepy

Gamers Pewdie and Diepy are playing in Goldenrod City Game Corner, each playing on their own slot machine.

To challenge them, it is necessary to first defeat the Johto Elite Four, then bring a full team of 6 level 100 Pokémons, of which none of them are of the Ghost or Dark types, the two types they fear the most as the entirity of their teams are weak to it.

In order to considered victorious, it is necessary to defeat the two bosses without leaving the building. This means that it is not possible to return to the Pokémon Center before fighting the second one. However, the second boss does not fight immediate succession, leaving the player time to prepare by using curative items and reordering his or her chosen team.
