Location File:Goldenrod City.gifA positional vantage point of Goldenrod Department Store in Johto. |
Goldenrod Department Store is a six-story compartmental emporium located in Goldenrod City, being the largest building therein.
It is the only department store available in Johto; by extension, it is the largest store in the region, carrying the most all-encompassing inventory of items—inclusive of some item categories that are not ubiquitously retailed in Pokémarts, such as TMs and evolutionary stones.
Floors
1F: Receptionistic Counter
This is the service-counter floor wherein shoppers are greeted by the receptionist.
Hereon, an item-buyer can also be found; he will buy an array of trainer supplements for 1/8th of their standard price and berries, as noted below on the tabular list.

2F: Pokémon and Trainer Supplements
This floor subsumes all items that are sold throughout Pokémarts. While all these items are interspersed throughout Pokémarts, they are only limitedly available in each one due to the 10-item maximum for each shop; however, since they have been subcompartmentalized on this floor, all are purchasable, here.
Additionally, a Pokéball-vendor can be found on the floor. He will sell you 50 Pokéballs for the price of 9,000; this effectively saves you
1,000, since 50 Pokéballs would cost
10,000 at the standardly retailed price.

B1F: Warehouse
Goldenrod City's Department Store has an extra underground floor. The floor is mostly used for story purpose; it is linked to the Goldenrod City Underground through a few rooms that Team Rocket is hiding in, and the player is required to infiltrate these rooms through the Department Store's underground. See the Whitney Quest for more information.
Else than this, there is also an item that can be picked up.
