Toxic Spikes is a Poison type, Status move.
Function
Toxic Spikes lays down poisonous spikes on the foe's side of the battlefield. Upon switching in, the foe's Pokémon will be poisoned. If used twice, the Pokémon switching in will be badly poisoned.
Flying, Poison and Steel type Pokémon, Pokémon with Magic Guard, Levitate or Immunity, and any 'raised' Pokémon are immune to Toxic Spikes.
A Pokémon holding Air Balloon or Heavy-Duty Boots is immune to Toxic Spikes. A Poison-type Pokémon with Heavy-Duty Boots can still absorb Toxic Spikes when switched in.
Z-Toxic Spikes: Raises the user's Defense by 1 stage, then uses Toxic Spikes.
