===Subsidiary groups===
====Story Writers====
These groups encompass teams that are not officially integrated into the main-body staff structure of game- and forums-oriented staff, but they do have regulatory access to and control over resources in PRO's official network of services; as such, they are effectively considered PRO-staff members without the titular distinctions and official integration that the main-body staff groups bear.
{{StaffBox|GroupName=SW|Description=They scheme the plots and flesh out the lore behind the game's questlines.|Members=SharkTooth6}}

Due to their officiality, official in-game staff members are oftentimes enlisted for such resources and thus there tends to be a broad overlap between them and these subsidiary groups.

==Joining the staff==

==Becoming a staff member==
All non-managerial staff start off as apprentices—a transitional position that focuses on assimilating the staff culture, training for their department's role, and ultimately graduating into the full-fledged position contingent of a satisfactory apprenticeship.

The overarchingly entry-level position is an apprenticeship—a trainee phase that transitionally focuses on acquainting one's self with the staff culture, undergoing training for their department's role, and ultimately graduating into the full-fledged role contingent that their apprenticeship is deemedly satisfactory.
Depending on the department and its recruitment status, apprenticeships are tendered to applicants or hand-picked by the staff depending on the candidate's suitability. Content-oriented groups regularly field applications and showcases for its prospective applicants, whereas community-oriented-staff groups will intermittently field workshop periods—precursory tests to an official apprenticeship—before selecting their apprentices; see the [https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/forum/64-staff-recruitment/ Staff Recruitment] sections of the forums for more information and announcements regardingly.

Apprenticeships are clinched through a combination of applying for the staff role and hand-picking by the staff. Content-oriented groups regularly field applications and showcases for its prospective applicants, whereas community-oriented-staff groups will intermittently field workshop periods—precursory tests to an official apprenticeship—before selecting their apprentices; see the [http://www.pokemon-revolution-online.net/Forum/viewforum.php?f=45 Staff Recruitment] sections of the forums for more information and announcements regardingly.
The staff discommends summarily asking for an apprenticeship. Recruiters are selective on new apprentices because of the intensive training and integrity required for each position; this requires aspirants to prove themselves with a track record of upstanding behavior, loyalty to PRO, and contributions to the project before they earn serious consideration.

===Retired roles===
These are defunct roles that were once a contributive part of the staff team. Typically, the scopes and workloads of these groups downsized enough over time that they were no longer considered essential specialties, ultimately requiring them to be either merged with other staff groups; rebranded to a new, more fulfilling role; or completely abolished.

This was retired in 2019, its responsibilities thereafter offloaded to other, more defined staff roles (chiefly CCs).}}

Staff refers to the cadre of contributors that develop, oversee and maintain Pokémon Revolution Online and its community. All staff groups hereinafter are subsumed into three overarching departments: management, content development, and community-oriented.

Current staff

A throng of staff members congregating for a picture on July 8, 2017.

All the current staff members are tabulated in their group-respective subsections below. All definitively known group-leaders are emboldened atop the lists.

Because the wiki is not automatically updated with current staff-listing data, it requires manual labor from wiki-editors in order to update it; this is mainly why it is possible that this page is not accurately reflective of all present staffers, so it is advisable to check the revisory logs for at least a rough vantage point as to how up-to-date it is.

Managerial

As the most trust-sensitive and hierarchically supreme staff groups, the managerial groups inherently bear by far the most control and access over the game, having raw access to the host's server and database and typically administrative authority over the game and the subordinate-staff groups.

In addition to their uppermost-ranked echelons, their raw access to the server and game endows them with privileged access that the less trust-sensitive staff groups have, thereby enabling to work on and maintain the game by means that the subordinate-staff groups lack the tools or requisite access to do; this includes conducting server-maintenance periods and server-rebooting, modifying Pokémon spawnsets, and so forth.

Joining the staff

All non-managerial staff start off as apprentices—a transitional position that focuses on assimilating the staff culture, training for their department's role, and ultimately graduating into the full-fledged position contingent of a satisfactory apprenticeship.

Depending on the department and its recruitment status, apprenticeships are tendered to applicants or hand-picked by the staff depending on the candidate's suitability. Content-oriented groups regularly field applications and showcases for its prospective applicants, whereas community-oriented-staff groups will intermittently field workshop periods—precursory tests to an official apprenticeship—before selecting their apprentices; see the Staff Recruitment sections of the forums for more information and announcements regardingly.

Former staff

All well-tenured former staff members with considerable contributory impacts on the game are tabularly listed below. Some below-listed staff might be presently on the team but in a different role than designated hereunder; for example, a former GM listed here might be currently serving as a Moderator.

Retired roles

These are defunct roles that were once a contributive part of the staff team. Typically, the scopes and workloads of these groups downsized enough over time that they were no longer considered essential specialties, ultimately requiring them to be either merged with other staff groups; rebranded to a new, more fulfilling role; or completely abolished.

Some may be reinstated in the future if the current groups' workload and manpower necessitates more specialized work.

 Community Managers
Community Managers, once described as a managerially specialized version of CCs, oversaw various communal resources. They inherited administrative access to manage PRO's official social-media outlets—the forums, Twitter, PRO Wiki, and so forth—to ensure that they stay abreast to the community's needs.
This was retired in 2019, its responsibilities thereafter offloaded to other, more defined staff roles (chiefly CCs).
