The Doctors Quest, as it has come to be known as, is a task system wherein the player heals sick Pokémon and can capture them afterwards.

The more Pokémon healed, the higher your doctor rank goes, and in turn, the better Pokémon you will get.

Medical Certificate

Once you have beaten Naero in Cerulean Cave, Brock in Pewter City will have a request for you. He will ask that you help him in distributing preventive medicine to the Pokémon in the nearby areas.
If you decline Brock's request, he will disappear for 7 days. After the 7 days have passed, he will reappear and you can accept the quest from him.

Here is a list of all the Pokémon that need the medicine:

After giving all the Pokémon the medicine, return to Brock. He will ask for 3 Rare Candy. When those are given, Brock will reward you with the Medical Certificate.

Curing Pokémon

To start curing Pokémon, you will need to speak with the old lady in any of the available Daycare Centers. She will tell you what Pokémon is sick and what item it needs. The available daycare's can be found in Route 5, Route 34, Route 117, and Four Island. The Sinnoh daycare in Solaceon Town will not have sick Pokémon to heal. Each daycare will have its own Pokémon that are available, from tier 1-5.

There is a cooldown for every daycare. In Kanto, the cooldown is 11 hours or 6 hours with an active Membership. In the rest of the daycares, the cooldown is 20 hours or 11 hours with an active Membership.
