Snowpoint City is the northmost Sinnoh city, located east of Acuity Lakefront. After becoming the Sinnoh champion, the Sailor near the entrance will take the player to Fight Area. Snowpoint Temple can be found on its north. However, despite the Pokédex showing some spawns there, there are currently no condition for the NPC blocking the way to leave.

Boat to Fight Area

The Sailor in the south-west of the city will take the player to Fight Area for free. However, he will refuse to do so until the player has completed the Sinnoh Elite Four.

Move Relearner

One of the biregional Move Relearners is stationed east from the city's Gym.

Any move that the player's Pokémon can learn by level up can be relearned at the price of 2,000 via the Move Relearner, at the condition that the Pokémon satisfies the level condition for the desired move. This is helpful to recover a move that was overwritten or that was never learned for various reasons.

Snover-Trader

There is an NPC Trader in the north-east corner of the city who will trade his Snover for the player's Meditite. The Meditite will be initialized at level 20.

Caught Date Checker

The Caught Data Checker is located in the Pokémon Center. He will determine the exact time a Pokémon has been caught at.

Snowpoint Gym

The Snowpoint Gym returns to the same type of puzzle as Johto's ice Gym, with sliding floor. However, despite having only one room, the layout is far more complicated. To reach Candice, the easiest path is as follow:

• North past the stairs => West => North => East => South => West => North

Upon defeating Candice, the Gym-greeter will start acting as a Move Tutor, teaching the move Icicle Crash to any compatible Pokémon for the price of 10,000.

All NPCs cool down after 7 days unless noted contrariwise. All NPCs may have new Pokémons, or higher level Pokémons upon rematch unless noted contrariwise.

Candice

Candice is the Ice type leader of Sinnoh, and will certainly show to be more dangerous than the only other specialist of that type. Ice being a very offensive type, and with all of her Pokémons storing a full movesets of 4 different types each, many of which covers types that resist Ice, playing defensively seems rather hopeless. Playing offensively seems to be the way to go. Particularly, Fighting will do excellent as she does not know any move super effective against that type. Even better if that Pokémon knows Mach Punch, to ensure her Weavile has no time to act. That type will however be stopped by her Froslass.
