Monkey Path is a special Kanto area in the Trainers Valley region. The area is located south of Trainers Valley Cave, meaning it is necessary to show the three elemental monkeys, Pansage, Panpour and Pansear, all caught by the player with at least 90 IV points or higher to Apo and defeat him before being able to enter Monkey Path. The area continues southward to Isolated Forest and eastward to UnderGround Ruins, although it will be necessary to be "worthy" in order to enter the latter.

The area itself, other than having all sorts of wild Monkey pokemons to catch, does not have any point of interest.

Ruins Keeper is blocking the access to UnderGround Ruins. She will only allow access in it if she deems the player "worthy".

In order to access the Underground Ruins, you will be asked to show one of the three keys. Only one key can be chosen. The keys can be found in the following locations:
