PAGENAME is a Johto town located between Route 42 and Route 44. A side route, Route 43 leads to the Lake Of Rage.

The main building in the town is its Souvenir Shop. Just like in the original game, it is the facade of a Rocket Hideout, which will be necessary to clear before being able to challenge the Gym.

Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout
In the back of the building are stairs, which lead to the Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout. It will be necessary to clear this hideout before accessing the town's Gym. However, it will first be blocked by an NPC saying there's nothing suspicious beyond. It is necessary to first talk to Chappy in Lake Of Rage before being able to go down the stairs.

Icy Wind tutor
A Move Tutor for the move Icy Wind is also staying inside the Souvenir Shop. He will teach the move to any compatible Pokémon for the price of Pdollar12,000.

Convention Shop
The NPC behind the counter of the Souvenir Shop will sell a large variety of items.

Mahogany Gym
The Mahogany Gym will be blocked at first, on reason of the suspicious activities happening in the Souvenir Shop. It will be necessary to complete the Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout Quest in order to be able to challenge the Gym.

This Gym is the first Gym of Johto with a puzzle gimmick. The Gym is separated into three rooms, each of which has a sliding puzzle. However, each puzzle is very straightforward to solve, requiring only one or two turns to reach the other end.

Upon defeating Bryce, the Gym-greeter will start selling TM13 (Ice Beam) for the price of Pdollar4,000 for one, or for the discounted price of Pdollar16,000 for 5.

Pryce
Despite having one more Pokémon than the previous Gym, Pryce may prove to be easier depending on which Pokémons have been trained. Specializing in the Ice type, he has strong attacks, but also displays a lot of weaknesses, on top of only bringing Pokémons that can easily be outsped. A Fighting type Pokémon will single-handedly defeat his whole team while having no weakness to the moves his Pokémons know, especially if it is fast enough and knows a powerful move such as Close Combat. The other three weaknesses, Fire, Steel and Rock, unfortunately do not display perfect coverage on his team. A Water type Pokémon is also worth considering, as they easily resist all but Abomasnow's Wood Hammer.
